Project: Little Green Rocket12/01/2009 at 11:42am
Project: "Little Green Rocket"

I'm slowly collecting the bit's and pieces that I need to turbo charge my pulsar.
The car is a fantastic little car, it's fun to drive and handles really well, the only lacking part is the power.

I picked up an Avenir W10 SR20DET and had planned to upgrade to that motor, but being an 1.6ltr I would have a lot of work ahead of me, so I decided it would be cheaper in the long run to put the turbo on the current motor. So the colleting of parts began.

I have the T25 Garret turbo (it's a NON ball bearing, 14411-1E001) off the SR20DET and the injectors. I plan to use the MAF as well.
I recently had the factory fuel pump fail on me so I upgraded to a Walbro 255L/Hr pump.
I plan to use the FPR (Fuel Pressure Regulator) from the Avenir motor as well.

For now I'll just being dumping a heap of information in this blog as I find it, then as I go through the project will clean up and file the information as much as possible.

New refrence material online29/10/2008 at 05:24pm
I've just put online the latest ECU pinouts for the N15 model pulsars/almera/xxx.
SR20 and GA16.
This is valid up to suppliment 3 from the factory service manual.

Ohh and some really cool news , my megasquirt and stimulator ECU kit arrived (the whole reason I sourced the ECU info to start with), now I just need to put it all together.

Have decided that I would have to hack my loom too much to install the megasquirt, so I'm checking out a daughter board from Nistune, these guys seem to really know what there doing, and looks to be the goods. Will keep you posted.

We all (well most of us) drive them, some people think of them as just transport others treat them like a piece of art work, myself, I'm kinda in between.
I like to have something a little different but not over the top. So when I first bought the pulsar, it was just left as a standard car until the warantee ran out .

Then the fun begain.
New wheels, lowered and of course a neat little exhaust system and the stock little pulsar is now starting to look just a little bit different.
I hope to add pictures/hints and tips to this section of my site on some of the modifications I have done to the pulsar, as well as some guides for those that are wishing to make changes to there cars as well.

Some of the minor changes I have made already listed below.

Car Details: Green '98 N15 Series II LX Pulsar
Performance Modifications: Uni Filter Pod with CAI, 2 1/2" cat back exhaust.
GTi-R front brake calipers, RDA slotted rotors.
ADR approved braided brake lines.
Other Modifications:  16" x 6.5" Adrenalin ROH wheels, Kumo 205/45/R16 tyres.
Whiteline Alloy-Adjustable front strut brace.
Lowered 30mm at rear with pedders springs and 55mm at front with pedders springs.
N15 SSS front and rear door trims + power window rails/motors.
Left/Right SSS N15 front indicators (black back) orange insert removed.
Clear side indicators.
Cruise control
Audio Details: Sony CDX-CA890X (52w x 4) head unit.
Sony Xplod XS-GS160 6 1/2" splits in front doors.
